TIU Hosts Delegation from Islamic Azad University Urmia Branch

On March 3, 2025, Tishk International University (TIU) welcomed a delegation from the Islamic Azad University Urmia Branch to strengthen academic collaboration.

TIU President Prof. Dr. Sutlan T. Abu-Orabi, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Academic Vice President; Dr. Jaafer Hussein, Director of International Relations; Dr. Rand Basil Alhashimie, Faculty of Engineering Representative; and Dr. Taha Basheer, Faculty of Applied Science Representative, officially received the delegation.

The visiting team included Dr. Mohammadreza Valilou, President of Islamic Azad University, Urmia Branch; Dr. Arash Ranjbaran, President of IAU East Azerbaijan Branch; Dr. Arash Mohammadi Fallah, General Director of International Affairs; Dr. Keyvan Shafei, Kurdistan Branch; Asst. Prof. Dr. Jamil Abdullah Jumaa, at MÂD INSTITUTE; and Mr. Danial Ameer Azeez, Deputy and Organizer of MÂD INSTITUTE.

Islamic Azad University Urmia Branch, part of the global Islamic Azad University network, offers diverse undergraduate and postgraduate programs in fields like engineering, medical sciences, humanities, and business. Known for its research excellence, it fosters international collaborations and plays a key role in regional and national development.

The visit featured discussions on academic collaboration, institutional development, and joint research opportunities. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to enhance research partnerships, student exchange programs, and faculty development. The event concluded with a formal exchange of gifts and university logos, symbolizing the commitment of both institutions to a strong and lasting partnership.
