Tishk International University (TIU) represented by Prof. Dr. Abdul Samad Salahuddin Ahmad, the president of TIU, Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, vice president for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jaafer Hussein, Director of International Relations Office, Dr. Orhan Tug, head of Mathematics Education Department, Prof. Dr. Mowafaq Muhammed Al- Kassab, Lecturer at Dept. of Math Education and Mr. David Wafula, International Relations Office representative at the Faculty of Education meets Zarqa University- Jordan represented by Prof. Dr. Nidhal Al Ramahi, President of the university, Dr. Aliaa Burqan, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Mahmoud Odeh, the Director of the Development and Quality Assurance Unit,  and Dr. Ashraf Shaqadan, International Relations Unit Manager virtually on 5th of September 2022, at 10:00 AM Erbil Time.

Zarqa University (ZU) was founded in 1994 in the east of Zarqa City, to be the first private university in Zarqa Governorate. The University comprises thirty seven undergraduate majors, and eleven postgraduate programs in English Language and Literature, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics, Marketing, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Intellectual Property, Islamic Banking, Administration in Nursing, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. It also includes four deanships; the Deanship of Admission and Registration, the Deanship of Scientific Research, the Deanship of Students’ Affairs, and the Deanship of Evening Studies, in addition to seven centers: Islamic Cultural Centre, Computer Centre, Language Centre, Centre of Continued Education and Community Service, E-learning Centre, Energy Research Center, the Center for Teaching English for Non Native Speakers.

 

With the aim of cooperation in education and research areas of mutual interest, and encouraging direct contact and cooperation between faculty members, departments, research institutions and students, both universities (TIU and Zarqa University) have signed a MoU on 5th of September 2022, at 10:00 AM.

In the meeting the key officials at both universities presents their university, and major achievements in terms of both quantity and quality to each other. The mechanism of the MoU implementation and different areas of collaboration are also discussed.

To conclude both parties confirmed the importance of having opportunities for further mutual approaches to promote academic, cultural and scientific collaboration in the future.
