By 1998, it became a branch of Suez Canal University, expanding to nine faculties before becoming independent. Today, it comprises fourteen faculties, including Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, Commerce, Education, Arts, and more.

During the meeting, both universities presented an overview of their institutions and discussed potential areas for collaboration. They agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize their partnership and outline a roadmap for future cooperation.
