Tishk International University Strengthens Global Academic Presence at SSD’25 in Tunisia”

Tishk International University recently took part in the 22nd International Multi-Conference on Systems, Signals, and Devices (SSD’25), held from February 17–20, 2025, in Monastir, Tunisia. A distinguished delegation from TIU, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi, President of TIU, actively engaged in the event, marking a significant presence in this esteemed academic gathering.

This year’s SSD conference was a collaborative initiative organized by renowned institutions from across the globe, including the University of Sfax and the National Engineering School of Sfax in Tunisia, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia, Tishk International University in Iraq, Philadelphia University in Jordan, Leipzig University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and Technische Universität Chemnitz in Germany.

During the opening ceremony, Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih and Prof.Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi delivered important speeches, highlighting TIU’s dedication to academic excellence, international research collaboration, and global partnerships. Their remarks underscored the university’s ongoing commitment to fostering innovative research and strengthening ties with institutions worldwide.

TIU made a substantial academic contribution to SSD’25, presenting 11 research papers as part of the 29 submissions from Iraq. The conference, which featured a total of 240 research papers, also hosted 14 keynote lectures and invited talks. These sessions facilitated discussions on cutting-edge advancements in systems, signals, and devices, reinforcing the conference’s role as a platform for knowledge exchange and innovation.

One of the notable aspects of the event was the PhD Student Competition, where three outstanding research contributions were recognized and awarded. TIU played a crucial role in evaluating submissions and selecting the best paper, further solidifying its commitment to promoting high-quality research and academic excellence.

As the conference concluded, it was announced that the next edition of the SSD conference will be held in Italy from March 30 to April 2, 2026. TIU eagerly anticipates contributing to and participating in this upcoming event, continuing its tradition of engagement in prominent international academic forums.
