TIU Head of Board of Trustees Honors Visiting Students from Palestine and Yemen

Erbil, August 7, 2025 – Assist. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Saleh, Head of the Board of Trustees at Tishk International University (TIU), led TIU’s participation in a heartfelt farewell ceremony for visiting students from Palestine and Yemen, held at Salahaddin University-Erbil. The event celebrated the completion of the students’ summer training program in the Kurdistan Region.

The ceremony brought together distinguished academic and diplomatic leaders, including Prof. Dr. Kamaran Younis Mohammed Amin, President of Salahaddin University; the Consul of the State of Palestine; Prof. Dr. Hussein Saadi, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Sharif Mawlud, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies at Salahaddin University- Erbil, alongside several university directors.

The visiting delegation consisted of nine students — six from Palestine and three from Yemen — representing Al-Quds Open University, An-Najah University, the American University, and Al-Quds Al-Arabi University. Specializing in Software Engineering, Information Technology, and Business Administration, the group engaged in an enriching academic exchange program, visiting Salahaddin University-Erbil, Tishk International University, and Knowledge University.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates of participation were awarded to the students, and university emblems were presented to the visiting delegation by Assist. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Saleh and the President of Salahaddin University — a symbolic gesture of friendship, cooperation, and academic unity.

This occasion not only marked the conclusion of the training program but also highlighted TIU’s role as a bridge between cultures, fostering academic excellence and global connections.
