North-Caucasus Federal University visits Tishk International University

Tishk International University (TIU) received a prestigious delegation from North-Caucasus Federal University (NCFU) on a visit aimed at fostering international cooperation and exploring potential collaborations. The NCFU delegation, led by Dr. Dmitry Bespalov, Rector, and Dr. Alber M. Kumukov, Vice Rector for International Cooperation, along with Mr. Maxsm Rubin, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Erbil, were warmly welcomed by Dr. Abdul Samad Salahuddin Ahmad, the president of TIU. They were joined by Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fatih Cura, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Dr. Jaafer Hussein, Director of the International Relations Office on June 14th, 2023.

North-Caucasus Federal University was established in 2012 as a merger of three largest universities – North-Caucasus State Technical University, Stavropol State University, and Pyatigorsk University for Humanities and Technology. And each of the institutions had gone a long way to build an outstanding history behind. Each of these was established at a certain point through the history of the country in order to meet the demand experienced in various sectors of the economy – in the Stavropol Region, in the North Caucasus, as well as all over the country. This means that the traditions and history that have been passed to NCFU are priceless as they come from basically every single area of human activity.

During the productive meeting, representatives from both universities showcased their respective institutions, highlighting their significant accomplishments in terms of both quantity and quality. The discussions aimed to identify areas of mutual interest and potential avenues for collaboration. Subsequently, the NCFU delegation embarked on a comprehensive tour of TIU’s campus, providing an opportunity to explore the academic potentials available and the state-of-the-art facilities offered across various faculties.

This visit marks an important step in strengthening ties between NCFU and TIU, creating possibilities for future academic partnerships. The fruitful interaction between these two distinguished universities paves the way for enhanced educational opportunities and international collaboration in the years to come.
