President of Tishk International University Visits the University of Jordan to Strengthen Academic Collaboration

As part of his academic visit to Jordan, Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of Tishk International University, was received on March 27, 2025, by Prof. Nathir Obeidat, President of the University of Jordan (UJ), along with senior university officials.

The University of Jordan, established in 1962 and located in Amman, stands as the nation’s oldest and largest public university. With 25 faculties, it offers 91 undergraduate and 161 postgraduate programs to a student body exceeding 50,000, including 12% international students. UJ currently ranks first in Jordan and 368th globally in the 2025 QS World University Rankings.

The meeting focused on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two institutions on December 27, 2023, and explored further avenues for academic cooperation. As a gesture of scholarly exchange, Prof. Dr. Abu-Orabi presented a collection of his scientific publications to Prof. Obeidat.

The visit underscored the shared commitment of both universities to fostering international collaboration and advancing academic excellence in the region.
