Tishk International University at the International Association of Universities Conference 2024
Tishk International University (TIU) proudly participated in the prestigious International Conference 2024 organized by the International Association of Universities (IAU), held at Sofia University in Tokyo, Japan, from November 22 to 24, 2024. The conference, titled “University Values in a Changing World,” attracted over 400 university presidents and delegates from 85 countries worldwide.
TIU was honored to be the only university from Iraq represented at this important global event, underscoring its commitment to fostering international academic collaboration and contributing to global discussions on higher education values and challenges.
The IAU, established in 1950, now counts over 900 universities as members, making it one of the most influential networks in higher education. Both Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Saleh, Head of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of TIU, actively participated in the conference, contributing to discussions on the evolving role of universities in a rapidly changing world.
