TIU Hosts Distinguished Delegation to Discuss Pan-Arab Scientific Conference on Physical Education
Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi, President of Tishk International University (TIU), warmly received a distinguished delegation of esteemed academics and experts in the field of Physical Education. The delegation included Dr. Hassan Al-Saud, Dean of the College of Sport Sciences at the University of Jordan and Secretary-General of the Association of Colleges and Departments of Physical Education; Dr. Abdul Baset Al-Sharman, former Dean of Physical Education at Hashemite University and Head of the Department of Physical Education at Philadelphia University, Jordan; Dr. Nazem Shaker Al-Watar, Director of the German Corner at the University of Mosul; and Dr. Diar Mghdeed Ahmed from the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at Salahaddin University in Erbil on August 14, 2025 .
During the meeting, the group explored the possibility of organizing a major scientific conference on Physical Education at the pan-Arab level, aiming to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and advancements in this vital field across the Arab world. They visited the Faculties of Pharmacy and Dentistry and were impressed by the modern technologies utilized in both.
Additionally, the delegation was briefed on TIU’s recent academic and scientific developments, highlighting the university’s commitment to excellence and growth in education and research.
This fruitful dialogue marks a significant step toward strengthening regional academic ties and promoting Physical Education as a cornerstone of health and well-being in the community.
