TIU Delegation Signs MoU with USIM During ICOWOBAS 2025 Visit
On the sidelines of the (ICOWOBAS 2025), hosted by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in Johor Bahru from May 5 to 7, 2025, a distinguished delegation from Tishk International University (TIU) visited Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) to strengthen academic relations and explore avenues for collaboration.
The TIU delegation was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi, President of the University. They were warmly received by Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Sharifuddin Md Shaarani, Vice Chancellor of USIM, along with his assistant and senior university officials.
Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) is a prominent public university that uniquely integrates Islamic values with contemporary academic disciplines. The university comprises several faculties, including Medicine and Health Sciences, Science and Technology, Dentistry, Economics and Muamalat, Syariah and Law, Major Language Studies, and Engineering and Built Environment. Through its diverse faculties, USIM offers multidisciplinary programs aimed at producing well-rounded, ethical, and industry-ready graduates.
During the official meeting, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding TIU’s international academic network and fostering meaningful academic and research partnerships. The agreement marks the beginning of a new era of joint cooperation, particularly among faculties with aligned academic disciplines.
This partnership reflects TIU’s ongoing commitment to global engagement and its vision to cultivate strategic collaborations with esteemed institutions around the world.
