Tishk International University Welcomes Delegation of Arab Students as Part of Regional Academic Exchange
Erbil, July 19, 2025 — Tishk International University (TIU) was honored to participate in a regional welcoming ceremony hosted at Salahaddin University-Erbil, which received a delegation of students from Egypt, Palestine, and Yemen as part of a summer academic exchange program.
The ceremony was held with the presence of several prominent academic leaders and diplomatic representatives, including Prof. Dr. Kamaran Younis Mohammed-Amin, President of Salahaddin University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Dezayi, President of Knowledge University, Dr. Mohammed Ozdemir, Vice President of Academic Affairs at Tishk International University, and Dr. Amanj Bradosti, Regional Director of Universities. Also in attendance was Prof. Dr. Hussein Saadi, Vice President of Salahaddin University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, along with other senior university administrators.
The visit forms part of a broader academic collaboration and cultural exchange initiative aimed at strengthening ties between institutions across the region. The students, representing respected institutions such as Egypt’s University of Science and Technology, Al-Quds Open University, An-Najah National University, The American University, and Al-Quds Al-Arabiya University, are enrolled in summer training across various disciplines, including software engineering, information technology, business administration, and urban planning.
A total of 13 students is participating in this program, which includes visits and workshops hosted by universities in the Kurdistan Region, including Tishk International University. These academic exchanges are an important part of TIU’s international outreach efforts, aimed at fostering educational cooperation and cultural understanding among young professionals from diverse backgrounds.
At the close of the ceremony, Assist Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir presented the official logo of TIU as a token of appreciation to the visiting student delegation.
