Tishk International University Hosts the Imagine Foundation

In continuation of its academic and professional development initiatives, Tishk International University (TIU) hosted the Imagine Foundation on December 8th, 2025.

The aim of this meeting was to provide academic staff and students with valuable knowledge on career development, international mobility, and professional growth, helping them explore new perspectives on global career opportunities and reintegration pathways in a workshop by April 2026.

Representing Tishk International University were Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Academic Vice President; Dr. Mohammed Abdulghani, Dean of Students; Mr. Karwan Sherwani, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics; and Mr. Dana Shamsaddin, Director of the International Relations Office. The Imagine Foundation is represented by Emma Felsenstein, Program Manager.

The Imagine Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and communities through education, career development, and social reintegration programs. It focuses on creating sustainable opportunities for individuals to enhance their skills, pursue meaningful employment, and contribute to society.

The Career Compass program is implemented by the Imagine Foundation with funds from the German Government and in close cooperation with the German Centers for Jobs, Migration, and Reintegration (GMAC). We help Iraqi students and professionals explore and pursue career, study, and vocational training pathways, in Iraq and the Kurdistan region, or abroad. We do that by offering structured online courses that include consultations by Imagine’s volunteer industry professionals (volunteer coaches), internal staff, and GMAC advisors.

The meeting concluded with a group photo to commemorate the collaboration. The event reflected TIU’s continuous commitment to fostering international partnerships and supporting the professional development of its students.
