Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between Tishk International University and Northwest International University
In line with Tishk International University’s continuous efforts to strengthen international collaboration and academic exchange, Tishk International University (TIU) organized a virtual signing ceremony with Northwest International University (NWIU) on December 17th, 2025. The ceremony represented an important step toward expanding TIU’s global partnerships and fostering academic excellence through cooperation in education, research, and cultural exchange.

The event opened with a welcoming address by Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of Tishk International University, who expressed his enthusiasm for building sustainable bridges of academic collaboration between the two institutions. Following this, Dr. Mohammadali Morshedi, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Northwest International University, delivered an insightful remark highlighting the shared mission of both universities to enhance the quality of education and global engagement through innovative partnerships.
The ceremony featured presentations from both institutions. Prof. Dr. Abu-Orabi presented an overview of TIU’s academic structure, achievements, and international vision, reaffirming the university’s commitment to research excellence and educational quality. In turn, Dr. Morshedi and his administrative team from NWIU introduced their institution’s mission, academic programs, and strategic direction for international collaboration, underlining the importance of joint initiatives in higher education.
Following the presentations, both universities signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the beginning of a strong partnership that aims to facilitate joint research projects, academic exchange programs, and opportunities for cross-institutional collaboration.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished representatives from both sides. From Tishk International University, participants included Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of TIU; Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Academic Vice President; Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatih Cura, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Prof. Dr. Bayan Salim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Dr. Hiwa Banna, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing; Prof. Dr. Rozhan Dizayee, Dean of the Faculty of Law; Asst. Prof. Dr. Dogan Ozdemir, Dean of the Faculty of Education; Prof. Karwan Sherwani, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics; and Mr. Dana Shamsaddin, Director of the International Relations Office and moderator of the meeting.
Representing Northwest International University were Dr. Mohammadali Morshedi, Founder and Chairman of the Board; Dr. Hamid Reza Mansouri, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Amir Morshedi, Vice President for International Affairs; Dr. Souzan Seyednaghvi, Chief Operating Officer; and Dr. Narjes Maleki, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages.
The event concluded with warm closing remarks by Prof. Dr. Abu-Orabi and Dr. Morshedi, who both expressed optimism for the partnership’s role in advancing educational excellence and international understanding. The ceremony ended with expressions of goodwill and mutual appreciation between both institutions.
