Tishk International University Strengthens Collaboration with KCAC
Tishk International University took an important step toward enhancing its engagement in cultural and creative initiatives through an official visit to the Kurdistan Center for Arts and Culture On 28 April 2026.
The delegation from TIU included Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Academic Vice President, and Mr. Dana Shamsaddin, Director of International Relations. They were warmly received by Mr. Mohammed Fatih, Managing Director of KCAC, and Mr. Fateh Rebar, Head of Communications and Media.
Kurdistan Center for Arts & Culture (KCAC) is an organization based in Erbil dedicated to building an inclusive global community that celebrates, preserves, and promotes Kurdistan’s heritage, culture, and art.
During the meeting, both sides explored opportunities for collaboration in areas of design, architecture, and cultural diversity. The discussions emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation to promote innovation and cultural understanding within the academic and public spheres.
Additionally, the two institutions discussed the possibility of hosting KCAC events at TIU, further strengthening ties between academia and the cultural sector. Prospective collaboration also includes joint research initiatives and program management related to cultural diversity projects and events.
This visit marks a significant step in fostering partnerships that support creativity, cultural exchange, and academic excellence, aligning with TIU’s mission to contribute actively to society through education and collaboration.
