Exploring Collaborative Opportunities Between INTI International University & Colleges and Tishk International University

In continuation of its internationalization efforts and academic partnership initiatives, the International Relations Office (IRO) at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a virtual discussion meeting with INTI International University & Colleges, Malaysia, on December 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM (Malaysia time) / 10:00 AM (Iraq time).

The meeting aimed to explore potential areas of collaboration between the two universities, particularly in academic exchange, research cooperation, and joint educational programs.

From the TIU side, the meeting was attended by Mr. Dana Shamsaddin, Director of the International Relations Office, Dr. Mohammed Salih, IRO representative at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, and Mr. Ahmed Ameer, on behalf of the IRO representative at the Faculty of Engineering.

Representing INTI International University & Colleges were Prof. Dr. Abd Rahman, Director of the International Relations and Collaboration Centre (IRCC), and Ms. NURUL AMIRAH BINTI ABDUL GHANI, Regional Head/ International Relation & Collaboration Department

During the meeting, both parties explored strategic directions aimed at strengthening institutional ties and advancing joint initiatives in research, staff mobility, and student exchange programs. The participants also highlighted the importance of promoting cross-border academic collaboration as a means to enhance educational quality and foster greater global engagement.

The agreed-upon action plan includes several key steps. First, Mr. Dana Shamasaddin will share the resumes of faculty members interested in the research fellow positions with INTI. In addition, Nurul Amirah Abdul Ghani will send an email detailing the requirements for the research fellow position to Mr. Dana Shamasaddin and other relevant participants. She will also coordinate with the legal unit to initiate the processing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Mr. Dana Shamasaddin’s university.

The session concluded with a positive outlook toward establishing a framework for future collaboration, marking another step in TIU’s commitment to broadening its international partnerships.
