Tishk International University Hosts SEED Foundation Delegation
As part of its continued commitment to academic excellence and community engagement, Tishk International University (TIU) welcomed a delegation from the SEED Foundation on January 11, 2026. The meeting aimed to strengthen institutional collaboration between TIU and SEED, with a particular focus on academic and scientific cooperation, including joint training programs, workshops, and participation in international conferences. The visit served as a valuable platform for constructive dialogue and the exploration of future partnership opportunities.
Tishk International University was represented by Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of the University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Academic Vice President; Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatih Cura, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Prof. Dr. Rozhan Dizayee, Dean of the Faculty of Law; and Mr. Dana Shamsaddin, Director of the International Relations Office. The SEED Foundation delegation included Dr. Mahdi Maghdid Qadir, Senior Advisor and Partnership Manager, and Mr. Shivan Sirajaddin, Program Manager. SEED is a women-led local non-governmental organization in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq dedicated to protecting and empowering survivors of violence and individuals at risk through survivor-centered, trauma-informed services, capacity building, and advocacy.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi delivered a presentation highlighting TIU’s recent academic and institutional achievements. In turn, the SEED Foundation representatives presented an overview of the organization’s mission and activities, sharing valuable perspectives on collaboration and community-focused initiatives. The visit concluded with a photograph of a commemorative group, symbolizing the mutual commitment of both institutions to advancing cooperation. This event reflects TIU’s ongoing dedication to building strategic partnerships and supporting continuous academic and professional development.
