Tishk International University Participates in the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Summer Training Program Under the Arab Student Exchange Program

Tishk International University (TIU) participated in the closing ceremony of the 2026 Summer Training Program, organized by Salahaddin University- Erbil on August 18th, 2026, the program brought together students from universities across Palestine, Jordan, Oman, and Yemen.

Tishk International University was represented at the ceremony by Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of TIU; Mr. Dana Shamsaddin, Director of the International Relations Office; and Mr. Herish Omer, Coordinator of the Deanery of Students.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished academic and institutional representatives, including Prof. Dr. Kamaran Younis, President of Salahaddin University-Erbil; Prof. Dr. Ahmed Anwar Dezayee, President of Knowledge University; and Prof. Dr. Fawaz Ahmed, Director of the Arab Council for the Training and Innovation of Students, along with other university representatives and officials.

As part of the program, Tishk International University hosted a number of students for practical training in its academic programs. The participating students included Nabil Khalid Ali Abdulla, Ahmed Mohammed Abda, and Hilmi Hissam Qadri from Al-Saeed University, Yemen, who completed practical training in the Pharmacy Program. They were joined by Mohammed Zakarya Hafith from the University of Jordan, who undertook practical training within the Nursing Program.

During the closing ceremony, the participating students were presented with certificates recognizing the successful completion of their training by representatives of the participating universities.

The ceremony also provided an opportunity to celebrate the success of the exchange program and its contribution to strengthening academic cooperation, cultural exchange, and practical learning opportunities among universities in the region.

In their remarks, Prof. Dr. Fawaz Ahmed and the participating students expressed their sincere appreciation to the Kurdistan Region for its warm hospitality and to the host universities, including Tishk International University, for their generous support, welcoming environment, and valuable academic and practical training opportunities.
