Tishk International University Signs Memorandum of Understanding in Virtual Ceremony with International Academic Partners

Tishk International University successfully held a virtual signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SELART European Academy and European University RAK (EURAK–UAE) on April 21, 2026. The event marks an important step toward strengthening international academic collaboration and fostering global partnerships.

The program opened with a welcoming address delivered by Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of TIU, who highlighted the significance of international cooperation in advancing higher education, research, and innovation.

This was followed by a series of presentations, including an overview of TIU presented by Prof. Dr. Abu-Orabi. Partner institutions also delivered presentations introducing their academic profiles, strengths, and areas of potential collaboration.

The official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding took place and the ceremony concluded with final remarks from the leadership of the participating institutions, emphasizing mutual commitment to academic excellence and future joint initiatives.

The event brought together distinguished representatives from both institutions. From TIU, attendees included senior leadership and academic figures such as the Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Academic Vice President; Prof. Dr. Bayan Salim, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Mr. Dana Shamsaddin, the Director of International Relations; and Dr. Mohammed Salih, IRO representative at the Faculty of Administrative Science and Economics. Representatives from EURAK and SELART European Academy included Prof. Dr. Vahram Soghomonyan, the Rector; Dr. John Bayramian, Secretary General; Dr. Prajith Prakash Nair, Academic Director; and Dr. Walid K. Alrawi, senior academic and quality assurance leadership.
