TIU and UNWE signed an MoU

Tishk International University has taken a big step towards going global by teaming up with a university in Bulgaria. They made it official in March 2024, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) online with the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria.

This agreement shows that both universities are committed to working together on important stuff like sharing knowledge and skills to tackle scientific challenges they’re both interested in. They’re also keen on swapping academic staff to bring fresh ideas and experiences to both places.

The MoU also talks about encouraging exchanges between research staff and students, especially in areas they’re both interested in. They’re planning to share educational materials like books and publications to help each other’s academic environments grow.
The University of National and World is a public research university in Sofia, Bulgaria.Notable alumni of the university are five Prime Ministers of Bulgaria – Reneta Indzhova, Stefan Sofiyanski, Ivan Kostov, Marin Raykov and Plamen Oresharski; the current managing director of the International Monetary Fund – Kristalina Georgieva; and the director of the Financial Markets Group at the London School of Economics and former Minister of Finance of Bulgaria Simeon Djankov.

Both universities are also keen on organizing events and doing research projects together, showing they’re serious about building a strong academic partnership.
