TIU signed an MoU with Union of Arab Statisticians
On September 14th 2023 at 03:00 PM, following a meeting between Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Dr. Ghazi Raho, the Secretary General of Arab Statisticians Union, Tishk International University represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Samad Salahuddin Ahmad, the President of TIU; Asst. Prof. Dr. Wasfi Kahwachi, the Director of Research Center of TIU; and Dr. Jaafer Hussein, the Director of International Relations Office received a delegation from Union of Arab Statisticians represented by Dr. Ghazi I. Raho, the Secretary General of Arab Statisticians Union.
The Union was established in 2007, at the proposal of a number of Arab scientists in the field of statistics and informatics, and the approval was obtained by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to host the Union after the approval of His Excellency the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation in the Kingdom and the approval of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its headquarters to be located in Amman/the Kingdom.
With the aim of working together in the future for their mutual benefit to foster a collaborative framework between TIU and Union of Arab Statisticians in the Field with a view to benefiting from each other’s initiatives and working procedures and to support collaboration among the researchers associated with both Parties both (TIU and the Union) have signed an MoU on September 14th 2023.
In the meeting, the mechanism of the MoU implementation and different areas of collaboration particularly having joint project also discussed.
To conclude both parties confirmed the importance of having opportunities for further mutual approaches to promote academic, scientific collaboration in the future.
