TIU’s meeting with UTP continues
Following the first virtual meeting between the representatives of Tishk International University and University of Technology Petronas, Malaysia on August 15th 2023 at 11:00 AM focused on drafting an MoU and discussing its articles to foster bilateral relations, the related International Relations Office representatives at both faculties of Engineering and Applied Science held two different virtual meetings to discuss the opportunities available between both universities.
On September 7th, 2023, TIU represented by Dr. Jaafer Hussein, the IRO Director, Dr. Tola FARAJ, Head of the Medical Analysis Department and IRO representative to the Applied Science Faculty; Mr. Savriddin Khalilov, Head of the IT Department; Dr. Taha Basheer; Dr. Hemin Ibrahim; Dr. Hala Najwan, IT department lecturers virtually met Dr. Jafreezal Jaafar, the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Information Technology, as well as Mohammad Hilmi B Hasan and Aslinda Bt Jamaludin.
The discussions during the meeting were marked by a shared commitment to opening the doors to extensive academic collaborations. The meeting concluded with a common decision to actively start a new collaboration between IT Department at TIU and UTP. TIU representatives requested UTP participants to provide a list of specialized lecturers who expressed interest in participating in the proposed cooperation opportunities. This list will serve as a focal point for discussions during the next meeting, where a detailed agenda will be prepared.
On September 12th 2023, TIU represented by Dr. Jaafer Hussein, the Director of International Relations Office and Dr. Rand, the IRO representative at the Faculty of Engineering met UTP represented by Dr. Nurlidia Bt Mansor, Senior Director of the Center for Student Development, Dr. Azrul Hasymi B Zabidi, Student Mobility Office; and Dr. Bashar S Mohammed.
In the meeting the main focus was on student exchange program and other academic cooperation in general.
