Urmia University of Medical Sciences signed an MoU with Tishk International University

 Urmia University of Medical Sciences (UMSU) represented by Dr. Mohammad Amin Valizade Hasanloei, the President of Urmia University of Medical Sciences; Dr. Mahmoodloo, the Vice-Président for Education; Dr. Masoodi, the Vice-Vrésident for Clinical Affairs; Dr. Hosseinpour, the President’s High Counselor; Dr. Niko, the President’s Executive Manager; and Dr. Fereidoni, the Director of International Affairs; along with Mr. Ali Zohrehvand, the Deputy of Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil visited Tishk International University and welcomed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, the Chairman of Board of Trustees; Ass. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir,  the Acting President and the Academic Vice President; Dr. Fatih Cura, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Dr. Duran Kala, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; and Dr. Tola Faraj, the Head of Medical Analysis dept. and the International Relations Office representative at the Faculty of Applied Science on July 18th 2023.

Urmia University of Medical College Established on 1980 as part of Medical School of Urmia University. In 1985 under supervision of Iranian Ministry of Health the school detached from Urmia University and a new university established with the name of Urmia University of Medical Science.

The university has six schools (medicine, pharmacy, paramedical, health, nursing, and dental) and administers all public hospitals in and around the city of Urmia.

With the aim of cooperation in education and research areas of mutual interest, and encouraging direct contact and cooperation between faculty members, departments, research institutions and students, both universities (UMSU and TIU) signed an MoU on July 18th 2023.

In the meeting the key officials at both universities presents their university, and major achievements in terms of both quantity and quality to each other. The mechanism of the MoU implementation and different areas of collaboration are also discussed.
